Valentine’s day is only 3 weeks away, and the pressure is on to find that something special for the lady in your life. Here are a few things to give you a little inspiration…
Indoor skydiving
Why not try something really different this Valentine's? Having just tried this myself, I can safely say that you will never have experienced anything quite like indoor skydiving. Flying in a tunnel of 110mph winds designed to effectively simulate freefall skydiving, a flight at Airkix is the perfect gift for any Adrenaline junkie.
A living rose
Instead of a dozen red roses, why not give her hundreds? By buying a classic English rose from rose experts Peter Beales you will be giving her a living plant that will give her roses for years to come. It doesn’t matter how small a garden she has, Peter Beales have roses for every size and situation and a glorious range of colours. A well cared for rose will last for decades, and be an everlasting reminder of your love. For a classic red, try Glad Tidings which is a lovely rose. There is nothing the team at Peter Beales don’t know about roses, so give them a call and they will be able to suggest a rose that’s perfect for her.
Jewellery
Another classic choice, and one that doesn’t have to be extravagant. At Corazon Latino, we have lovely handmade silver jewellery from £25-£250. We deliver anywhere in the UK free of charge within 3 working days, and especially for Valentines we are guaranteeing delivery as long as you get your order to us by noon on the 12th.
If you need help, just call us on 0845 838 2393 or 07970025090 and we will help you find the piece that would suit her best. If we get it wrong, don’t worry, we offer refunds or an exchange as long as you notify us and return the jewellery within 7 days of Valentines Day. We can also gift wrap, add your own special message and even send it direct to her or to that romantic hotel you’ve booked to complete the surprise!
A Romantic Weekend Break
Why not take your Valentine away for a romantic weekend? In my personal opinion there is nowhere more Romantic in the British Isles than the Highlands of Scotland. Fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and if you are lucky, even some snow. My favourite hotel in the Highlands is East Haugh House. Personally run by the McGown family, it is a beautiful 4* Country house hotel just outside Pitlochry. With only 13 rooms, several of which are 4 posters, roaring log fires and an award winning restaurant, it is the perfect place for a romantic (and gourmet) break. They even have a special Valentine's weekend package with Champagne, Handmade Chocolates, a native sapling to plant (instead of eco-unfriendly roses flown in from abroad) and a special sexy Valentines menu. The East Haugh is a wonderful place for a break no matter what time of the year, and a truly special place to spend Valentine’s day.
Lingerie
Be careful! Lingerie is not easy to buy for women. If you are determined to go down this route, take a look at what she already has to make sure the style works, it’s a colour she likes (Please note. All women do NOT like red!) and for goodness sake check a label to get the size right!
Know Knockers is a fabulous site. They specialise is lingerie for the smaller busted woman. It is virtually impossible to get glamorous bras or swimwear in a AA or AAA, but these guys do it. So if you’re looking for small but sexy bras then give them a try.
Be Cheeky have a stunning range of glamorous underwear. from the simple (but still glam) to the seriously sexy including the notorious Pearl thongs featured on Sex and the City.
Chocolates
If chocolates are her “poison”, then look no further than Hootel Chocolat who have a delicious range of award winning chocolates. You can buy individual bars in the classic milk, plain and white, as well as some gourmet single origin bars and fabulous gift packs with a selection of their amazing flavoured bars. For something a little more sophisticated and sexy, try their selections, truffles or chocolate coated fruit and nuts.
When it comes to Valentines Day, don’t just go for the red roses. Try something a little more adventurous and make it a Valentine’s weekend you will both remember.
